Join Me for the Summer Fun Challenge
I don’t know about you, but my family has been counting down to summer since Christmas. This past year was just hard - mentally and physically. All we want to do right now is relax.
Recognizing teachers feel the same way, I threw out my Type A summer work plans and started over. To help everyone kick back, relax, and enjoy themselves, I am holding the Summer Fun Challenge from June 5 to August 6.
There’s no catch - nothing to buy, no crazy requirements to follow a million people and tag all your friends. Just complete an activity of your choice each week and post a photo to have a chance at a prize.
Who Can Participate?
This contest is for teachers or homeschool parents. The contest will be held in the Upper Elementary Teachers’ Lounge Facebook Group, where we have a growing teacher community.
You do not need to be an upper elementary teacher, but the prizes will be most useful for grades 2 - 8.
What Do I Have To Do?
To participate, you need to join the Facebook Group to interact and submit your entries on the weekly posts.
Each week will have a general theme. Participants just need to do something related to the theme that they think is fun, then post a pic of their activity by the end of the week. The weekly themes are:
June 5th - The Arts
June 12th - Food
June 19th - Games
June 26th - Get’er Done
July 3rd - Family & Friends
July 10th - Unplug
July 17th - Spread Kindness
July 24th - Nature
July 31st - Free Choice
It doesn’t matter how you relax, because the Summer Fun Challenge is set up to work for everyone. Whether you are a teacher who loves to be active outside or a teacher who could happily stay in and read a book all day, you can play!
Are There Prizes?
Did I mention there will be weekly prizes? That’s right - prizes for relaxing. We will randomly select three winners each week.
However, anyone who participates all summer can submit a form for an exclusive resource during the final week. If you miss a week, you can make up the activity - you just won’t have had a chance at that week’s prize drawing.
