FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Each unit contains 10 weeks - 9 lessons and 1 review week.

    Lessons are organized by week. Each week includes:

    • a suggested 5 day lesson plan.

    • a choice day with 3 suggestions (Any needed templates are included.)

    • word list and definitions.

    • interactive notebook piece.

    • interactive activities such as Dominoes, Go Fish, and Puzzles.

    • a worksheet each week.

  • Each week features 1-2 word parts and 10 vocabulary words. Fewer words allow students more opportunities to practice and retain the vocabulary, instead of memorizing them for the test and then forgetting them.

    These lists could easily be shortened to fewer words to accommodate students’ learning needs.

    Can these activities be used independently by my students?

    Activities are rotated and used repeatedly throughout the lessons. Once students have been introduced to a game or activity, they know what to do and can work independently.

  • Printable lessons are made to print and go. I do recommend printing games on card stock and then laminating the pieces for durability. Students will need pencils, colors, scissors, and glue or tape.

    Digital resources require Google Slides™.

  • I recommend playing the games with 3 - 4 students. You would need enough copies of the games to group your students. Alternatively, you could use the games in centers, and rotate student groups through the activity, which would allow you to make fewer copies.

    Tip: Print each game set on a different color card stock (use light colors for readability.) Using different colors makes it easy to sort the cards or know where a stray card belongs.
