Popcorn Acids & Bases Science Experiment

This is a fun and easy to prepare science experiment that explores acids and bases. Suggested acids and bases are provided, but teachers could always substitute items if desired. All items in the experiment are common household items. Students will be amazed when the popcorn begins to rise and fall in the baking soda water! This is a terrific activity for Thanksgiving week.

Students make a hypothesis at the beginning of the experiment, then follow the directions on the student worksheet to complete the experiment.

Teacher notes are included. This activity is ready to print and copy.
